i can't believe it...

farrah fawcett, one of the original charlie's angels, born and raised in texas, had a beauty that affected so many audience members that her hairstyle alone became the trend for women internationally...
michael jackson... a true icon, a pioneer and inspiration to the music industry and the entire world... i really hope that he has just staged his death and will be able to live peacefully, without the hassles of ppl taking advantage of him, being the media's buffet table to pick at and eat alive. he grew up under the spotlight and has never been able to escape the scrutiny of the world. i hope he will finally have peace, wherever he is.

剛好我們是在一個樓梯上拍照、
我看到這一個莫名奇妙的空空的小筐/角落、
很像賣衣服的窗子還是展覽東西的一個小空間、
所以我扮成個假人/玩偶娃娃/人像
... 哈哈...我的朋友都說我很像！
我看起來有很糊塗嗎？
我這幾天真的很累很累！
可能因為同時在拍廣告、錄節目、做訪問＆宣傳、
可是昨晚拍完廣告、就應該會好一些了！
我現在還在上海、可是明天就會飛到北京～！

the funniest thing was that ah-O slept through the WHOLE thing...
the blowing of the tire,
pulling over on the side of the highway,
jacking up the car to try to change out the tire,
hauling the car up onto the tow truck bed
(feeling like we were about to fall off and roll down the hill)...
he really didn't wake up until i had JUST decided to pull out my camera and film him sleeping!
i realize it's not as apparent bc it was dark on the car,
but actually ah-O has "I eV" shaved into the back of his head!
hahaha...

to the fans i've seen these past few weeks in taiwan... thank you so much!
i'm so happy to see your continued support and also to notice your own growth & development over the years...!
i haven't sung any campus concerts in taiwan in so long, that for our new album's first 2 campus performances, i didn't really know what to expect...
but the students i saw yesterday and the day before, in kaohsiung & ping-dong、
you guys made it so great to sing campus concerts again,
thank you so much for giving me such an amazing response, and being such a great audience, it was really touching!
we just got back to taipei from kaohsiung & ping-dong this morning at around 5am,
tomorrow morning we are once again heading out, to tainan and then kaohsiung...
so tomorrow will be our last 2 簽唱會 in taiwan... good luck to you guys,
hope you can win the tickets to go with me to tokyo disneyland!
tomorrow night we'll be flying straight to hong kong from kaohsiung
so to all my hong kong fans that i haven't seen in a LONG time...
i hope the few days i'm in hong kong, i'll get to see all of you!

愛*極限LOVE OVER

my new album, "愛*極限/love over" is out today!
lately things have been so hectic, but hopefully all our hard work will be worth it!
i have noticed that when i get tired, i tend to get dizzy, and be a little absent-minded and forgetful... haha... silly me...

今天我的最新專輯"愛*極限/love over" 出來了！
最近事情越來越多、很累、很忙、可是希望我們的努力是值得的！
我發現我真的累得時候、會有點暈暈的、變得更傻、忘東忘西、哈哈... 傻傻的我...

things have been extra busy since getting back from hainan... doing interviews, photo shoots, mv shoots, tv tapings, radio shows, entertainment news, and of course, after all that, i have to find time to go to dance practice! this month we're doing promo in taiwan, next month our tentative schedule shows that i'll be heading to hong kong on june 8, and will be there until june 12, and then around the 18th will be heading to mchina, and should be traveling within mchina for a couple weeks! i'm not sure about the exact details of where we are confirmed to be and when, but for more information, you guys can go to www.mnwingman.com for updates!

聽說最近豬流冒好像稍微好了一點... 提醒大家註一身體、多洗手、保持衛生、健康！

wow... 時間怎麼感覺上過的那麼快？
我在海南的時候、你們有沒有想我？
“美女不壞”一拍完就要回台北準備新專輯的發行！我們一到台北就趕著定裝、準備、隔天早上我330am爬起來去拍mv...

這次的mv我也很期待看拍出來是什麼感覺、因為有大明星郭品超來演！他也真的很配和、很專業、也很夠朋友... 大家都很累、可是他在拍世紀婚禮廣告的時候說過他會幫我拍mv、就真的做了！而且他還為了mv讓我打他巴掌！我真的很不好意思、很怕打別人巴掌、可是專業的品超叫我真打、只是盡量打好、最好不要一直從打！雖然我的手被他抓到有瘀青、可是也是為了我的mv, 所以真的很感謝品超！haha...

說到這、我也要感謝品超的fans... 你們真的很棒！很好、很乖、很懂事、讓我想到我的fans!！謝謝你們的幫忙＆照顧... 很感動！

最近就在忙著準備發片, 台灣應該是5/22發行, 所以禿然覺得時間好像真的不夠！我現在還在戲的睡眠時間、也就是說我睡超過4個小時就會醒來、身體以為我該起來拍戲了... haha... =_= 所以這次拍的照片、mv, 還有現在大家看到的廣告其實大家都很辛苦、尤其是我們家jessie... 每天陪我拍戲、還跟我飛來飛去做籌備專輯的事、還有其他工作、又馬上飛回海南繼續拍戲... 這次的工作也讓我在海南的時候氣喘發作了好幾次、我想有點嚇到了jessie 還有在場的人 ... 還好我都有帶著氣喘藥...

今年我妹妹的生日我已經回到台北、可是剛好ivy不在台北!！所以謝謝你們有記得ivy的生日、她看到一定很開心...!！幫我妹妹＆所有支持我的人許個願...

hi everyone!
how was your lunar new year's? did you get to eat a lot of good food, and spend time with family and friends? how was your valentine's day? this year i went to the office to give out lucky money to everyone, but these 2 holidays i pretty much spent alone, on my own... however, it's OK bc...

the guy i love is finally coming to taipei to see me!

hmm... i guess i should say the guy i'm in love with... bc... he doesn't know i like him! i've been in love with him for a long time... admiring from afar...

haha, ok i'm kidding, kind of... i'm actually his fan, i'm in love with his music, his creativity, his voice, his talent...
also he seems so quirky and interesting! (in one of his live acoustic performance videos he starts out talking in a french accent, which is something i do with my friends all the time when i'm feeling silly...)
so in actuality, i am going to see him... perform!
i really hope i can have a chance to speak to him, at least let him know i'm his fan!

i'm talking about jason mraz, a really awesome singer/songwriter... i first noticed him and started liking him when i first heard his 2nd album, "Mr. A-Z", and in 2008, he released "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things."

i love the melodies he writes and the cleverness of his lyrics, and his live performance is really awesome! his website is www.jasonmraz.com, its really creative and funny as well, and of course on youtube are a multitude of his live performances, so you guys can check him out! if you don't know who he is, you are missing out!

this will be my first time to go to his live performance, so i'm really excited, really looking forward to it!

in nanjing & what's going on lately...

hi everyone, we're in nanjing now... coming from taipei, getting off the plane at nanjing, it seems really cold! you guys also have to be aware of the weather, when it's cold, take care of yourselves and dress warmly as appropriate, ok?

after nanjing, we'll be heading back to taipei, and i'm really happy that i'm going to be going on a show with one of my best friends, peggy! 1/13, we'll be going on 王牌大明星, and should have a chance to sing some songs (hopefully together) and talk about some of our funny stories and memories we've had together! everyone can take a look at peggy's website if you have a chance, it's really very beautiful! i like it a lot, it's like a magical dream world! www.peggyhsu.com but just remember to choose "yes! i do", ok?

i've been meaning to introduce my friend, james jean to everyone... he was born in taiwan, grew up in the US, and for an artist not even 30 years old, he's won so many tremendous awards and has accomplished so much already! previously, i had worn a prada dress to a cartier event, and the print on the dress was drawn/designed by james! do you guys remember this dress?

he did the design and story for a prada film, "trembled blossoms", as well as artwork for the prada fairies collection... it's SO beautiful, very dream-like, and other-worldly! so... of course i fell in love with it! the prada fairies bag was so popular that celebrities across the world were pushing to get on waiting lists for it...

when i showed peggy the prada fairies artwork, she said, omg it looks like he's drawing you, angel! haha... i actually have been collecting these comic books, the fables comic books for years, but it wasn't until i asked the rep at prada about the artist for the fairies collection, that she said, "oh i think he's an abc, and he does some artwork for comics" that i went home, got online and searched for information on him, and discovered that lo and behold, the stack of fables comic books i have at home, james jean was the same artist who created every one of the covers! later when he came to taipei, he actually dropped by the studio and did a couple quick sketches of us!

(and i think there's another sketch of me there, too! @-@) in november, he came out with a book, the fables covers collection, and i'm so grateful they remembered me, and gave me a copy of the book...

he's having a show 1/10 to 2/7, and it's going to be amazing! i really wish i could go, but so far i see my schedule is already set for work... but if any of you are in new york, you have to go see it!

another bit of news, i'm finally going to 日月潭! i've been looking forward to this event, even looked online, and the photos are so beautiful! we're going to attend an event 1/15 there, so i hope while we're there the weather is nice, and we can take some beautiful scenic photos...
dylan kuo and i previously did a commercial together for a really cool wedding event, where a bunch of couples are going to get married together in taiwan! have you all seen the commercial yet? http://gdshuangxi.com/
even though it looks really romantic and carefree, but doing any kind of shoot in a wedding dress while on a bicycle is not as easy as it looks here!
yes, i know i'm smiling like i'm on top of the world, but those flowers were actually really heavy! my left arm was sore from holding the flowers, i could only use my right arm to hold on for dear life (while looking all happy and in love,) and the dress was actually really heavy and long, even getting caught a few times in the bicycle wheels and spokes! that was scary bc if dylan kept riding forward, my skirt might have been ripped off, resulting in a disastrously embarrassing wardrobe malfunction, haha... thankfully he was very aware of what was going on and stopped as soon as possible... i think dylan must have had it even tougher than me, he had to ride the bike, wait and hold it steady while we get situated and arrange my dress; when riding he had to follow the director's exact orders, (faster, too fast, slower, too slow, veer to the right more, veer to the left more, wait for the doves to fly, avoid getting pooped on by said doves, etc) all without wobbling too much, and even when he braked he had to do it smoothly and slowly so the girl playing the bride wouldn't totally lose her balance and eat pavement! i wonder, how many ppl would have guessed that i was wearing flip-flops under that voluminous skirt...? do you all still remember how many times i have donned wedding attire for filming and with whom?

他最近在紐約有個個人展覽、從 1/10 到 2/7, 我自己很希望可以去看他的展覽、可是好像那時後我都有工作、可是如果你們有人會在紐約、一定要去看！

還有一個消息、我終於要去日月潭了！我好期待！我看網路上的照片、真的感覺很漂亮！我們 1/15 會在日月談 (好饒舌的名字！快速度說說看個10次... 應該不只是我這種abc中文不好的會說錯吧！）有活動！我真的希望我們到日月談的時候、天氣會很好、可以拍些漂亮的風景照片！

我笑的很開心、可是那束花有點重！左手拿著花很酸、而且只能用右手扶著、裙子也很重、還會有時卡在輪胎裡！品超也很辛苦、一直騎、把腳踏車扶著很穩定、等我們把裙子擺好、騎的時候要控制方向＋速度、也不能搖晃的太大、還煞車要慢慢的煞車、要不然我很容易失去平衡感！你們有猜到我站在車上在穿拖鞋嗎？ haha...! 你們還記得我拍過幾次的東西有穿到婚紗、跟哪些男主角嗎？

hi everyone!

it's been a long time since i've written anything... so much has happened in the past few months, i bet most of you have seen some of my news, more or less, and have heard some rumors, etc... *sigh* don't take those things too seriously, sometimes what is in the magazines and newspapers isn't necessarily the most accurate, due to reporters' creative flourishes to increase sales, or even due to receiving false information. so don't get too worked up about all that, ok?

i wanted to say happy new year to everyone! this year was my first time to do new year's in beijing, so i was really excited. everything turned out fine, and we did our own little countdown after the performance. i hope everyone watching had a good time, enjoyed the show, and of course i wish everyone the best in the new year... good health, lots of happiness, and may your 'bestest' dreams come true!
did you all have a good christmas/winter holiday this year? this year for my birthday i didn't do anything special to celebrate, bc we had some family business to take care of, but it still turned out very nice, bc so many of my cousins were in taipei, so we all went out to eat together; it was really great to see so many cousins, some of whom i haven't seen in years!

the cold i got last time in shanghai and beijing is pretty much gone now, so don't worry, i'm doing ok now!

hi everyone!

好久沒有上來寫東西、前幾個月真的發生了太多事情了、相信你們都有在關注我的新聞、所以多多少少有聽到一些傳聞... 不要想太多、有的時候娛樂新聞或一些傳聞不一定是得到最正確的消息、所以不用太在意他們寫的東西、好嗎？

我想先跟大家說 happy new year! 今年在北京跨年、是我第一次在北京跟大家跨年、所以很期待、希望今晚的表演是順利成功的、也希望大家玩得開心、在新的一年能天天開心、身體健康、美夢成真！你們今年的聖誕節也過的開心嗎？我今年的生日是沒有特別慶祝、因為有些家裡的事、可是有很多好久不見的表哥表妹在台北、我們有一起吃飯、所以在那天能看到那麼多親朋好友、也是感覺上很溫暖的...

上次道上海跟北京的時候好像真的感冒了、可能因為從戶外倒是內溫差太大了、外面很冷、可是攝影棚裡的暖氣加上棚內的燈光是會熱倒流汗！可是不用擔心、我今天感覺真的快好了！我馬上就要開始準備表演了、所以試試看來不來的即upload張照片給大家看！

just want to make sure everyone is taking precautions about the incoming typhoon... i heard that it's supposed to be quite big, according to etaiwannews.com (with information from the Central Weather Bureau):

"At 14:00 a.m. today, Jangmi was centered 80 kilometers on the south-eastern from Taiwan Hualien, packing maximum sustained winds of 280 kilometers per hour and moving northwest at 16-12 kph toward the island, CWB data showed.

The CWB predicted that all of Taiwan will be covered by Jangmi today."

earlier this afternoon, we were at the office, working, and on the way home, we saw the crazy winds rain blowing around tree branches and debris on the street, even scooters were knocked down by the wind, so everyone please be careful!

even on the way back to taipei last night, we were already feeling the wind, causing turbulence as we approached taoyuan airport... after we landed, i was sitting in my seat, waiting for jessie to meet with me, and i could feel the entire airplane rocking from the gusts of wind!

so, save water, get your candles and flashlights ready, charge your cell phones, make sure you have some food, and do whatever else you can do to prepare! if you don't have to, don't leave the house...

hi everyone!
tomorrow, we're heading out in the morning, flying to 重慶 for 2 fan events... on the 25th, we're flying to 杭州, then taking (approximately) a 4 hour car ride to 永康，to attend a concert on 9/25 (k one will also be performing there!) it's just that i heard from someone there's a typhoon tomorrow... hopefully it won't affect anything, so we can still head out as planned! so far, looking at my tentative schedule, i think october and november will take us to korea, 重慶, 廈門，江蘇，vancouver，上海，天津... etc! so latel i've been thinking of myself as superman, flying around... =) i hope that in each location, i can see all of my fans, that way all the traveling will definitely be worth it, if i can see all of you! just a reminder, usually the company only allows us to sign albums (or products released by the company, like photos, books, etc) so please remember to bring your authentic albums/products, (new and old are usually just fine, as long as they're authentic, non-pirated things!) hope to see you all soon, to sing some songs with everyone!

明天一大早就要出發往機場，飛去重慶半兩場歌友會...25號就要飛往杭州，在做四小時的車到永康,去參加9/25的晚會(k one 也會來表演！）只是剛剛聽到有說明天有颱風。。。希望不會有影響! 10月＆11月好像會到韓國，重慶，廈門，江蘇，溫哥華，上海，天津...好像還有其他地方! 所以我最近覺得我真的要把自己想成超人(superman),飛來飛去... =) 希望我在每個地方可以看到所有的歌迷朋友！這樣我們飛來飛去是值得的！體醒大家一下, 公司常常規定我們只簽專輯 (或著是公司出的產品，向照片，書，等）記得帶著你們的正版專輯（新舊的通常都可以，只要是正版的東西!) 希望很快可以看到大家，可以跟大家一起唱唱歌! =)

新的layout, 還不是很習慣，所以希望大家能體諒，給我一些時間學會用這blog的新的layout!

寫上一偏的時候還剛到威海的第一天… 現在表演已經結束，我們也回到北京了，所以寫新偏好了…

大家的中秋節過的如何？開心嗎？我們在中秋節當然（你們也知道吧）是有工作，可是當天的表演也很順利，而且有看到很多歌迷和觀眾也很開心！=) 因為那天彩排有一些狀況，有一片玻璃地板破了，一個舞者不小心踩進去，希望他沒事，沒受傷！很棒的是到表演的時候地板的玻璃已經被換成新的，所以舞台是安全的… 只是當然還是希望那位舞者ok!

我最近蠻擔心這個颱風（在台灣附近）和颶風（靠近德州的東南部）的事情。讓我擔心很多朋友和家人，特別是德州那邊… 因為我爸爸現在一個人在houston, 而我很難連絡到他。因為這幾天他那邊停電和水，所以我打不通家裡的電話，我爸也可能為了省電池所以把手機關機…我只能傳簡訊給他，等他開電話回我。希望颱風和颶風地區的人都可以是安全的，健康的等颶風颱風過去。

how was everyone’s mid-autumn moon festival? happy? we, of course, had to work, as you all know, but the performance went quite smoothly, and i got to see a lot of fans and happy audience members, so i was happy! the day of rehearsal, a piece of the glass stage broke, and one of the dancers accidentally stepped/fell into that piece. i didn’t see what happened, but when i exited the stage after rehearsal, i saw that the piece of glass had a hole in the center, with large shards of glass sticking up around and out of the hole… anyways, i hope that dancer is ok, didn’t get injured! the cool things was, that by the time we performed, the broken piece had been replaced with a new piece, so the stage was totally safe.

lately i have been worried about the typhoon and hurricane. the typhoon around taiwan, and hurricane ike, which has been affecting southeast texas and parts of louisiana. i’ve been worried about my friends and family, especially in texas… bc my dad is alone in houston now, and it’s really hard to reach him. these few days i heard he hasn’t had any power or water running, so i can’t call the house phone, i think the line is down, and i’m guessing he’s trying to conserve his cell phone battery, so he keeps his cell phone turned off. i can only sms him and wait for him to turn on his cell and reply to me. anyways, i hope everyone in the affected areas are safe and healthy, and i hope you all online can help me send some good wishes and prayers to them, as we wait for the storms to pass.

hi everyone,

these past 2 weeks have been pretty busy for me, with doing a cameo with will for his new 戲, doing autograph concerts in taipei, taoyuan, and tainan, and performances in guangzhou, changsha, and jinan... now that we're back in taipei for work today, we're leaving almost right away (7/29) for a performance in kuala lumpur on the 30th... afterwards, we'll be heading back to taipei for an event (8/1), and to guangzhou right after that event, i think?

anyways, although sometimes tiring, it's still been great to see everyone in different cities, to work with "superstar handsome will", who's always funny and fun to work with, and to be able to see k one, (i always love to see their live performances, bc no matter how many times i see them on tv or their mvs, i still think seeing them live is the best!), and especially my wonderful 慧欣e校, who try to show up to support me wherever i am! the support you all have given me has really helped me to get past many trials and tribulations! (like... slipping and ALMOST falling down on stage, while wearing a short dress, not only once, but TWICE! @.@) haha...

and now, something i am hoping you guys will help me with, someone sent me this link, for an amazing new take on the swan lake ballet by chinese performers... but i would really love to know who the performers are, as in the name of their dance group or ballet/performing arts school... does anyone know?

i am really excited about tomorrow's 簽唱會s in taipei and tao-yuan, and the following 簽唱會 in tainan... it really seems like a while since i've done promo for a new album in these cities, so i'm really looking forward to these 簽唱會s! hope you haven't all forgotten about me!

as far as i know, i will be allowed to sign older albums/books, as long as they are all authentic, and provided you are also carrying a new album onto the stage, so please feel free to bring those as well! as for 欣的記憶, i think we will be signing the lyrics booklet, but i'm not sure, so please bring the whole thing, just in case! if you want me to write your name, my company has requested that you please write it down clearly on a piece of paper to keep things moving as smoothly as possible! =) i'm not sure if we will be signing posters this time, but there is a possibility... and i'm not sure what the weather will be like tomorrow and the day after, but please protect yourself as appropriate to the weather and traveling, and stay safe! have a happy day, and see you tomorrow!

my ep is out today!

yay! my ep is finally out (in taiwan) today! it seems like i've been waiting for quite a while for this ep to come out! anyways, let me tell you a little bit about it...

it's called 欣的記憶...
there are 3 new songs, and 15 MVs (3 new song MVs + 12 MVs from previous albums)
and we're starting events tomorrow!
tomorrow morning, i'm heading to 苗栗 first to participate in a transportation safety event (where i will sing a couple songs,) and then to 高雄 for our first 簽唱會!
the day after, we are leaving early in the morning to perform in an awards ceremony (k one will also be there) in 廣州, but i'll be heading back to taipei the day after that...
as far as i know right now, the taipei and taoyuan 簽唱會 will be 7/19, and 7/20 will be in tainan.

hi everyone...

strange, i've been here in taipei for several summers now, but for some reason this past couple weeks or so, i have had a bout of hay fever! the day before going to beijing last time, i had a sneezing attack that lasted all night, and was accompanied by a nose that was constantly runny. it was unbelievable, i don't know if i have ever sneezed so many times in the span of 1 night before, i was sneezing so much i couldn't fall asleep! so i do have to explain, at 遠東百貨, at the "2008 i love school 寶貝入學愛心大集合" event, a reporter had asked if i had caught a cold, but don't worry, it's just allergies, so please excuse my red, peeling nose if you saw me those couple days! anyways, i went to see a doctor, got some allergy medicine, and headed to beijing. the doctor had said bc of taipei's humid climate, my allergies would probably be more intense in taipei, but should be much better in a drier climate. so i actually felt so much better in beijing, (stopped sneezing, nose almost stopped running) which was really nice, bc i sang in a charity concert, and i got to see some really touching, inspirational performances, and even got to meet some of the earthquake survivors... although i really wanted to stay longer in beijing, but we still had a lot of work to do in taipei, so upon coming back to taipei, i think my allergies are starting up again! not as bad now, bc i'm taking allergy medicine, but my nose is definitely not as clear as when i was in beijing, haha... =p

so now i'm home from the concert in ban-chiao, it was really nice to be able to sing with ivy and k one! usually our schedules don't coincide very often, so this time i was really looking forward to this event. anyways, home now, tired and want to just lie down and close my eyes for a bit, but in a rush to pack, as k one and i are leaving for nanjing early early in the morning! hope everything goes smoothly, see all you nanjing fans soon...

天阿... tragedy... devastation and destruction

the past few days, winnie and i have been so busy with work, that we were pretty much secluded from the outside world, on a plane or car, in a recording studio or a film studio, and didn't have any time to read a newspaper or watch tv or even catch up on any news. so yesterday, when 小刀 called me from beijing, and said there was a "超大的地震" over there, it didn't occur to me that something really devastating had happened. i've been so tired lately, i get dizzy and sleepy, and i wasn't thinking very clearly, just remember thinking that it was strange, i have never experienced an earthquake in any city in mchina. i asked, are you ok? is everyone there (at the mnwingman office in beijing) ok? and he replied, yeah we're fine, so i just assumed it was like the ones that i have experienced before. it wasn't until this morning, when i was on the car on the way to work, when our makeup artist said, "妳們有看到新聞嗎? 四川那邊有很嚴重的大地震..." that i found out it was so serious. i remember when 9/21 happened, i was still in school in texas then, and many of us students hosted and attended events to donate money and supplies to send to taiwan to help the victims of the earthquake, bc we were so affected by what had happened, and were hoping to help. when my makeup artist said that this earthquake was 3 times worse than 9/21 and that the death toll was 10,000, i started tearing up, i was so shocked and devastated. i then called 小刀 to first ask him why he didn't tell me it was so serious and then more importantly to ask him what we can do to help those affected by the earthquake. i was scheduled to go back to mchina the day after tomorrow, and we're supposed to be traveling/working from city to city. some of these events will still continue, as we have already agreed to them, and it is up to the tv station/hosts to decide if they want to continue as planned or delay/cancel, but there is also the possibility that some of the events will be altered due to what has occurred, and also so that hopefully, we can do something to help those in need. please see the company website (www.mnwingman.com) for the latest updates. i know that we will all be praying and wishing that all of you and your loved ones are safe and well, and hoping that 大家會一起團結, 發出我們的愛心, 希望我們可以幫助. 大家保重, 保佑, 一起家油...! send them our love...

i was thinking about adding a guestbook to this blog, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for good guestbooks? i'm not super website/html savvy, but i'd like to have one that i can choose the fields, filter/edit out offensive words or spam, that looks nice (maybe has different skins/templates/color schemes to choose from...) and hopeful wouldn't have too many ads that are obtrusive or too distracting. any suggestions?

I live in Alexandria, VA, but I often work in Lafayette, LA, staying with friends when I'm there. As you know from America's Most Wanted TV program, as well as the news media, there is a serial killer in the Lafayette area. I just want to let you know about an "incident" that happened to me a few weeks ago, and could have been deadly.

At first I didn't go to the police or anyone with it because I didn't realize how serious this encounter was. But since I work in a jail and I told a few people about it, it wasn't long before I was paraded into Internal Affairs to tell them my story. It was approximately 5:15 a.m. in Opelousas, LA. I had stayed with a friend there and was on my way to work. I stopped at the Exxon/Blimpie Pie station to get gas. I got $10 gas and a Diet Coke. I took into the store two $5 bills and one $1 bill (just enough to get my stuff).

As I pulled away from the store, a man approached my truck from the back side of the store (an unlit are a). He was an "approachable-looking" man (clean cut, clean-shaven, dressed well, etc). He walked up to my window and knocked. Since I'm very paranoid and "always looking for the rapist or killer," I didn't open the window.

I asked what he wanted. He raised a $5 bill to my window and said, "You dropped this. " Since I knew I had gone into the store with a certain amount of money, I knew I didn't drop it. When I told him it wasn't mine, he began hitting the window and door, screaming at me to open my door, and insisting that I had dropped the money! At that point, I just drove away as fast as I could.

After talking to the Internal Affairs Department and describing the man I saw, and the way he escalated from calm and polite to angry and volatile...it was determined that I could have possibly encountered the serial killer myself. Up to this point, it had been unclear as to how he had gained access to his victims, since there has been no evidence of forced entry into victim 's homes, cars, etc. And the fact that he has been attacking in the daytime, when women are less likely to have their guard up, means he is pretty BOLD.

So think about it...what gesture is nicer than returning money to someone that dropped it???? How many times would you have opened your window (or door) to get your money and say thank you.... because if the person is kind enough to return something to you, then he can't really be a threat....can he????

Please be cautious! This might not have been the serial killer... but anyone that gets that angry over someone not accepting money from them can't have honorable intentions. The most important thing to note is that his reaction was NOT WHAT I EXPECTED! A total surprise! But what might have happened if I had opened my door? I shudder to think!

Forward this to everyone you know...maybe they can be as fortunate as I was!

P. S. Ladies, really DO forward this to EVERYONE you know even if this man wasn't a serial killer, he looked nice, he seemed polite, he was apparently doing an act of kindness, but HE WAS NOT A NICE PERSON!!!

Men, send it to all the women in your life. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. Make it a good one! Please forward to anyone you think might benefit from this story.

i just love stories like this! i saw this news in a magazine, and it was so sweet, i wanted to share it with everyone, so the following was found on the daily mail site at www.dailymail.co.uk :

A paternal dog has adopted an abandoned baby goat as his surrogate child.

Billy the boxer has become the constant companion of the 12-day old kid called Lilly. He sleeps with the goat, licks her clean, and protects her from any dangers at Pennywell Farm wildlife centre at Buckfastleigh, near Totnes, Devon.

The kid was abandoned by her mother when she was only a few hours old and adopted by paternal Billy when his owner Elizabeth Tozer began hand rearing the goat.

The unusual bond has developed over the last month and the pair are now inseparable.

Elizabeth said: "Lilly follows Billy around which is really quite amusing to watch and Billy sleeps with the goat and cleans her mouth after she feeds."

Lilly was the smallest of a litter of three kids and her mother abandoned her because she could only care for the two stronger ones. The pair have attracted quite a crowd at the animal centre and the staff are keen to see how their relationship will develop.

hi everyone!

i actually got to go back to the US for a few days, and visit some family and friends... now that i am back, i am still suffering from major jet lag, even though we started work the day after i arrived! i'm tired all the time, yawning and falling asleep during the day, and then i can't sleep at night! yesterday when i got home from work, the oscars were still showing on tv, and i tried to watch, but i fell asleep for 2 hours, only to be unable to sleep after getting ready for bed! haha... well, thankfully i will have a couple days to rest interspersed between work, so hopefully i will be able to catch up on sleep so i don't pass out during a photo shoot or something! =p thank you to those who sent me valentine's day messages, i hope you all had a lovely valentine's day as well! i myself spent valentine's day traveling on a crowded plane, but still happy bc i did get to see someone i love, and i got to go home for a little while.
